    Hello kevbro,

After uninstalling TI it still leaves quite a lot of itself in the Windows Registry and on your hard drive, although I don't recall anyone posting a similar problem to yours. Might be worth going through the <Acronis Support instructions> for manually unstalling TI in order to clear out the residuals and then seeing what happens.

    Regards

    Hello kevbro,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

Please try to follow Menorcaman's suggestions and delete Acronis Secure Zone manually. If the problem remains please contact us.

Addition: I made a mistake, please delete Acronis True Image manually. Thanks Menorcaman.

    Thank you.

I take it you meant to say Acronis True Image rather than Acronis Secure Zone ?

    Kind regards

I am surprised that uninstalling TI did anything to Ntbackup.

But, computers can be strange, so consider re-installing Ntbackup.

    Insert the XP Home CD-ROM.

Navigate to the VALUEADD\MSFT\NTBACKUP folder. (I am not sure if it is located at the same place on the XP Pro CD)

Double-click the ntbackup.msi file to install NTBackup.
