Thank you very much for handing out a free license to your product, I am greatly appreciative of your offerings.

The product does an amazing job at blocking ads, but may I make a few suggestions, ones that would improve the product.

    Memory usage:

    1. Please lower the memory consumption, it takes 100+ MBs on my machine. It seems a bit too high.

    Please block...:

    2. Running a tracking test (http://vpntest.spotflux.com/) shows great results, but is there any way you can add the capabilities to block ScorecardResearch and sitemeter?

    1) We'll try to lower it in 6.X branch, but currently it's not top priority.
    2) Sure

All i can say is that right now we working hard on parental control features and adding cross-browser support for user scripts.

    I must say im impressed,

After enabling all of Adblock's default filters for Chrome with Malware domains list using a total average of 170 MB RAM, it consistently shows on the counter less than or equal to the counter on Adguards icon, while using an average of 52 MB RAM.

Pages load faster and i have now removed Adbock.

    Keep up the great work.

If you download the full version it also puts .NET on your pc.

The extension version on my pc with 3 tabs open and every option checked is using 64mb right now.

I like this much more than AB or ABP to me it's much easier or works better for custom blocking.

I have followed Adguard since it came out. Early versions were pretty bad, and slowed down browsing rather than helping.

The latest version is an amazing improvement, and the HTTPS filtering works great. However I noticed that 'some' pages seem slower with this product, much slower than Admuncher.

Also, I noticed a MUCH slower boot with Adguard installed - anyone else notice another minute added to system boot? Finally, Adguard still crashes. Not as often as before, but it crashes.

I purchased TEN lifetime licenses to Adguard, with the intention of replacing Admuncher. But Adguard seems to need a bit more development before I can make the switch.. Which really stinks for me due to the purchase, and also because I REALLY need to replace Admuncher. The broken promises for v5 have become intolerable.

    In close;

    1) Adguard needs to be more consistent.
    2) It needs to be faster, and use less resources.
    3) It needs to NOT slow down computer boot.
    4) It needs to stop crashing.

As an owner of 10 lifetime licenses, it pains me I cannot use Adguard without constant issues.

    I installed it AGAIN today, to give it a run, and within minutes ran into issues with 'many' web pages. Most importantly, it caused Paypal to function improperly. Take a look;

Unacceptable, and I hope one day I can use it.. Also Adguard utterly fails to block popups in my popup testing pages, whereas Admuncher does block them. Another disappointment.. Maybe with further revisions I can use my 10 licenses. <sigh>

Why did you buy that many licenses with the problems you had anyway? You had two weeks to trial it before you had to commit. Did you get a hold of the developer during that time? I hope you didn't just buy them outright in the hopes things would be dandy. There are way too many of these adblocker programs out there, you have to really watch it. I agree with you on AdMuncher though, I have no faith in them at all to come through.

    From this thread:
    https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?p=2330226#post2330226

One thing (just guessing, but it could help).

Microsoft .NET Framework 4 has a known issue with NGEN windows services.

    Here is a good discussion:
    http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/...ows-down/4476f6ab-3355-4ed6-bec2-bfe18dd408b0

You could use the solution from the link above or you could install the latest .NET Framework version:
    http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30653

    Compatible. Any browser is compatible:)

Cannot reproduce it with following filters: English, Spyware, Social Widgets.

    Which browser?
What ad blocker filters are enabled?
What do you mean by "cannot click"?
Links are just no working when you click them or something else?

This is really bizarre. Adguard does not filter PayPal secured connections at all.

Please give me a link to any of those, we'll do some work on our popup blocker.

I am using OpenDNS with DNSCrypt and I don't think Adguard and DNSCrypt play nice together as it really slows the pages from loading.

I noticed that on a machine with both as well.

Adguard has amazing potential. However I think it needs more revisions, and more engineering to be viable. Still getting crashes, slowdowns, and add filtering actions - even on a 100% clear development/test system.

I will check back later in the year, and see if any new versions of it fix stuff. Unfortunately I cannot invest the time in helping debug or report at this time as I am in too many beta programs as it sits. Sorry.

    Hi!

We will start firefox extension development just after Adguard 5.9 release.
Estimated firefox extension release date - april 2014.

By the way, we are inviting beta-testers for Adguard PC version.

Version 5.9 brings a large number of changes:
    + Cross-browser userscripts support
    + Parental Control
+ Video Ads blocking based on protocol detection (not on just url blacklisting)

I can tell you so far, 5.9xxxx beta is speedier, more efficient seemingly. It's running so good so far, I think I am about ready to drop Admuncher. v5.0 has been promised for nearly 3 years for Admuncher, and I really need to move on. Adguard 5.9 (and my 10 purchased licenses) will finally get some use.

Parental Controls in Adguard are utterly brilliant so far, even with the early implementation. The ability to block EXE downloads for specific child accounts is a great feature. The search protection actually works (without having search accounts). For example with parental DNS filtering, I can look up porn, and see porn in images, but with Adguard PC activated, it blocks even those. Pretty nice to be honest, and they've made some great strides with this product over the last year.

Hopefully I can help improve things even more in the beta test before final. I have such high hopes for this product.

Beta is running flawless so far. No delays on PC boot like the older versions. No slowdowns, or page incompatibilities, and I have been unable to find a page where it misses the advertisements, or doesn't block a popup. What a remarkable improvement in an evolving product.

Only issue spotted so far - if you password protect the program (such as locking parental controls) It pops up a poll to enter the password on every computer boot, right on the desktop. This really shouldn't be happening, so if you can address that bug we'd be legit so far, and I will continue to investigate/test.

Many may think RAM usage is still a bit high - roughly 100mb. I don't consider it a serious issue given the power of this product (Malware, Ads, Popups, Parental), but maybe some optimization of that would be in order.

I'm ecstatic this may finally replace Admuncher, and the Duke Nukem Forever Version 5 of Admuncher. Glad I purchased those 10 licenses for Adguard now, I took a gamble on your company which appears to have paid off given the pretty substantial price of the product now!

Thank you, I've created a bug №AG-4285. We'll try to fix it in the next beta-version release. For now we have ~30 open bugs in this version.

Linux does not give good opportunities for traffic interception & filtering. We have WFP/TDI drivers on Windows, kernel extensions on Mac OS X, but nothing on Linux.

In theory - we could create a local VPN and use it for traffic interception. But this way has a number of drawbacks. Maybe we'll do it later after android version release.
