    You could go with Chrome and block javascript by default, then add to exceptions the less dangerous top-level domains, for example:

    [*.]ca, [*.]org, [*.]gov [*.]edu, [*.]uk, [*.]net, https://[*.]com

    then since .com is one of the most dangerous TLD's, whitelist all second and third level domain names on a per site basis, as for example:

    [*.]www.wilderssecurity.com, [*.]www.tomshardware.com, [*.]www.vancouversun.com, [*.]support.microsoft.com, etc....

    This approach is not nearly as painful as one might think. Eventually you build an extensive .com whitelist of your most frequented sites, plus those you frequent less often. This gives you a rather bullet-proof browser setup :)
