Few minutes ago was live.
But 2013 was started with March, the Jan-Feb results was omitted.

 

On what was posted, do you recall the results for Avast? And was it for Avast 8?

Avast did pretty well actually, even better than avira. That's really surprised me. No mention regarding the version of Avast.
don't remember the exact number though. More like 98.6% blocking rate.

KAV, F-SECURE, QIHOO360, and GDATA were the ones that blocked 100% of the threats. BD appears to be 99.8 blocking rate.

 

I wonder how much that chart will change in the next few days?

I was interested in Webroot's results but don't see them (or MSE). Hopefully, this will be on the finished chart.

Avast is doing great (and all this for free). I just wonder what the user dependent decisions are.

I really thought Avira was going to be all green with their new cloud protection...

As usual, the BD engine did great.

More than likely sandboxed with Evo_gen and Behavior blocking asking if you want to continue or close the suspected file, although there is debate whether the language used is straightforward.

Per the graph, if you chose close, it would be 100% prevention. And if same as AV-Test, no false positives, I would rather have that than the other 100% without user input and their false positives.

 

Avast! doing amazing.

 

They are not in AV-Comparatives this year due to AV-C's testing methodology not being compatible with how Webroot works, thereby giving it a lower result than it should have, or something like that.

Very surprised if Avast! got 100%, though they have been improving since version 5.

 

Fortinet did well too.

I guess they arent finished with sorting the products in this chart yet.I will base my final opinion when the final chart is out.

So far,here are the funny things,Mcafee better than ESET A chineese product is better than bullguard

Interestingly very nice result for avast..we will see how avast is placed in the final chart if its really changes something.

In my opinion,the chart should be sorted by red bar and not by green as even if it is user dependent,the decision is in the user's hand and in case of filerep question the warning is pretty stern.

 

I would say that everyone did good except for Ahnlab.
But of course having a "perfect" score is even better.

 

I wonder what was "user dependant" again with avast!... i always count any user dependant as detection for all products. Because if any product does show any warning, users run away scared...

 

Avira seems to be over the hill, what happened to the former number 1. Well done Avast ...

What for?
To read a discussion for a test which not exists?

 

I've been thinking and saying it (not on here) for the past two years that Avira is "dead" atleast their free AV is. It has no zero day capabilities and not only that but the signatures have been lacking...

Not only that but the partnership with Ask. If they don't pick up the pace and get on a tier with the top notch freebies nowday's the free AV might be left as nothing more than a relic.
