as soon as the antivirus has updated with the new definition and the (previously undetected) malware is running, it will be detected right away by the file shield. if you wish to perform a scan you can always right click on the "C"-drive (or any other directory) and scan it. no need for an extra "full scan".

Regarding this, so we thought initially, the user does not need full system scans
And yet, how can we implement it, without the user feel any impact (?)
So was born the concept of "empty slots", which allowed us to control the scanning process at split second
[Auto-scan] It is rather a legacy feature, preserved only because of the user reflex and, I admit, for us to show off :)

    Thanks :thumb:
Concerning the famous "quarantine's management" I think that how HitManPro solved the case could be a great idea. HitmanPro has a EWS scan that could be problematic (a lot of FP) and dangerous for normal users so this setting is only for experts (or as you call "wilders") and is in this warning page that user can choose it or decline
I put Hitman GUI in romanian language for this occasion :D

I've used the old bitdefender AV on-demand scan as a backup when I was on winXP and it served me well. I was waiting for them to come up with a realtime freebie. This seems very powerful from what I can tell. I was able to re-install my backup on-demand scanner MBAM. All seems to be running great.

    thank you Bitdefender!

It all looks promising but... who is Iulika0069?

With all regard it reminds me of Central Europe extraction on the lines of Cameron Cruz and Monica Sweet (no disrespect meant).

Will there be a dutch version?
I would be great for my mother in law, but her English (and Romanian) is not so good. Currently she is using Panda Cloud Antivirus.

Oh... now that you ask... :D Could you mention here how's TrafficLight (all browsers version) development going? It used to make browsing pretty slow, and it has never been upgraded to reflect any changes, as far as I know. (I'm not talking about specific browser extensions/addons, rather the full installer.)

Or, is BitDefender AV Free meant to replace it (the full install version of TrafficLight), considering that it also has URL blocking?

    @ all

    Sorry for this little off-topic.

    Can you make waffles?
Seriously though...how about we start to keep track of fps...sticky? Thats the main concern with autopilot right?
More control is still needed regardless.

Personally, i havent seen a problem yet.

I'm not sure what kind of AutoPilot is the mode where it deletes something without any mean of recovering it.

Repair infected files -> If fails, quarantine

That should be burned in the AV programmers retina.

Such mode doesn't really change anything to the noob users since all they care is that AV protects them. Advanced users will however prefer this since it gives them option to restore the file. Though some form of exclusion system has to be implemented, otherwise quarantine is useless.

Does it run as a native 64 bit process?

Is there an uninstall tool available which can be run in safe mode?

Well said. I think the no delete feature has been requested for years by BitDefender users has it not?

The Updating problem is fixed! :thumb:
However, the Right-Click (on-Demand) Scanning remains Slow...

    Re: Bitdefender Antivirus Free

Do we need to download the latest version? 'cause I'm still in version v.1.0.13.859 even though BDAV free updated itself.
