It's a user.dmp and not that big. I sent you the Dr. Watson Log and dmp via e-mail.

    Hi Erik.
Yesterday i pickup a nasty Virus (Win32.jeefo.D),HitmanPro detected but couldn´t remove at all,i restart in safe mode nothing, format pc and after boot virus still there. But i tried with others like Malwarebytes,Superantispyware tdsskiller none remove this.
This is the worst virus i pickup so far,e makes the other .exes impossible to open. Finally i clean with other thing.

Is it possible to improve the removal of this?

Sometimes after a contaminate has been removed there exists either corrupted or changed Windows files or settings such as the file association settings. It is fairly common to find some malware that has changed a setting to disallow any executables from being triggered. If that is the case there is a small program called "Utility to restore .exe file association" and it is found on another reputable security site here.

Hello, is making the scheduler compatible with a Standard User Account part of your road map?

Hi Erik! Just wanted to check up with you when you think you'll be able to include the new Swedish translation that I sent some time ago.

    Cheers! :)

I have this again with 3.6.2 - Build 173 Beta. See your response # 4711, Page 189 on September 27.

Mine never can self-update. It will always load to a certain point and then hang. I always have to download the latest version from the Internet and replace it. Any ideas why?

    Hitman Pro

    Product / Engines used

    G Data: Bitdefender + Avast!
    Bitdefender: Bitdefender
    Emsisoft:Bitdefender + Emsisoft
    Dr. Web: Dr.Web
    Ikarus: Ikarus

Why using the Bitdefender engine three (3) times
    when other engines,
like AVIRA, Kaspersky, ESET, Norton/Symantec, Panda, MBAM etc.,
    can be used? o_O

    Re: Hitman Pro

Wow i had the exact same though, i was JUST going to post about this also but you beat me. :D
I also wonder why Surfright is using the Bitdefender engine 3 times when there are so many other available out there that could improve their detection.
MBAM/KIS/Avira any of those would be excellent choices to replace Bitdefender which is already being used in G-Data and Emsisoft.

    Re: Hitman Pro

Stable just updated to build 173 :)

I think they currently use G-Data, Emsisoft and Dr. Web. Bitdefender is mentioned separately from G-Data and Ikarus separately from Emsisoft.(Ikarus asked for this, don't know about Bitdefender.) That was at least the situation before Emsisoft released v7 but perhaps they still use Ikarus in the cloud.

IMO another False Positive from Dr. Web. All this program does is hide the command window. Also still getting FP on SARDU in my previous append. Is there a better place for reporting HMP FPs?

I can understand it being flagged by av scanners, but it should be classified as a PUP (potentially unwanted program) and not as an infection to be quarantined. On Virustotal , DrWEB calls it Tool.HideWindows.20 and Kaspersky classifies it as
not-a-virus:RiskTool.Win32.HideWindows.o. Both consider it a tool, but flagged as a PUP. HMP doesn't seem to agree on that. SARDU is another example where DRWEB (not malware) and HMP (DrWEB - malware) do not agree. I asked about this before and I
am still wondering why there are detection discrepancies between DRWEB and HMP (DrWeb) on the sardu.exe file which is not even PUP.

I've solved both FPs. Sorry for the delay. This is the second best place to submits FPs. Best place is by sending an email to support@hitmanpro.com (or me).

    HitmanPro.EndpointSecurity coming soon

    Announcing HitmanPro.EndpointSecurity

HitmanPro.EndpointSecurity is a cloud-based management console that gives adminstrators and security officers active control and insight on infections that threaten data and business operations.

HitmanPro.EndpointSecurity allows network administrators to scan business servers, desktops and laptops (even when they are outside the building) for computer viruses and other malicious software (malware). With the central console administrators can start HitmanPro scans, view scan results, and respond quickly to virus outbreaks. The HitmanPro.EndpointSecurity management environment is fully web-based and does not require any software installation: simply creating an account will suffice.

    eps-top-threats.png

    eps-current-threats.png

HitmanPro.EndpointSecurity will be available soon as a free upgrade for all existing users of HitmanPro for Enterprise and HitmanPro Incident License.

No problem. Thanks for the support ...

Booted earlier today and HMP started its daily scan so I assume the scheduler is working now.
