I agree. Looks like a few changes have taken place over and under the hood.

It surely has some changes in the "cleanup" under system tools! Cleaned out 63mb just since last night under the .203 version! I LIKE it! :thumb:

I wish I could try out this beta and see if it fixes my "Scan with Webroot" issue that i have been having.

Working smoothly here and it seems to scan a few more files, takes around 20 sec more. BTW like the GUI. Is it just me or disk I/Os are really lesser with this version? Earlier sometimes padlock would go away with firefox, but it seems to have fixed now.

Updated here too, 3 updates within 2 days. Things are going pretty fast in the background I guess.

Yes auto-updated to build .216 also here :thumb: Will be interesting to see all the changes from .203 to .216 :)
Is it a new build every day now?...and someone was asking if development had slowed down :D

Very true and Joe didn't want it posted because the Closed Beta Group is testing it and wanted to get there opinions first and to see if there any bugs before releasing it to the Public also you never know things can change back!

    Re: WSA v8.0.1.216 Beta Released

I have been a WSA AV customer for about 5 weeks, and so far, so good. I know you can't give me an exact date and I'm not asking for one, but typically, how long does WSA stay in beta for? Is there a closed then open beta? Since I'm new to the product, I guess I'm asking if the typical release is weeks, or months down the road.

    Thanks!

    Re: WSA v8.0.1.216 Beta Released

There is a closed and open beta (this build is currently in the closed beta) and the time depends on the number of changes. This update is not the fall release (it's an incremental update) and it should be released in the next 1-2 weeks.

Nice! This is the first time that I have ever paid for an AV, and I have to say that I am most impressed with the customer service thus far. I have read several stories of a WSA customer receiving help within minutes of contacting Webroot..................Very cool!

To make it clear for me, it sounds as though the current closed beta has a significant change in the UI, as well as other changes, is this the incremental update that we should receive in a few weeks?

Admittedly, the exciting parts aren't in place yet. The current UI changes are relatively minor compared to what will be in the final Fall release in a little over a month.
