vasa1, nope, still enjoying Seamonkey. :) .. but Opera has been my most frequently
used browser for many years (since it first went to free from paid).

Muon looks nice but it still has bugs, IMHO. For example I searched for "skype" and it shows the following packages:
    pidgin-skype-dbg
    pidgin-skype
    libc6-xen (i386)
    earcandy

... but not skype itself. o_O Synaptic does, and I found that true also for other examples.

I have the same issue since Natty, I do manual partition and format to fix it.

This is strange. So Unity 11.10 is reporting Linux partition is misaligned.

Paragon Alignment Utility and Dell Advanced Format Detection Utility are both reporting all partitions as aligned with no repair/fix options possibleo_O o_O

Paragon and Dell utilities both run via Windows as they not for Linux. Suppose I could create a paragon recovery disk (Linux based) and see if I get the same...

I used Unity 3D for 11.04 and I'm using it for 11.10 but I've not enabled Compiz special effects :D

    Too scared!

From what I have read up so far it is a bug with disk reporting utility when it concerns advanced format disks. However during install, I do the partitioning manually after deleting and then creating a new partition and disk report doesn't give me the same message.

Not worried, usually Secunia ratings for Opera have been top notch and they are fastest to fix. Sadly Opera works with latest Ubuntu in KDE and LXDE flavors but not in Unity :(

Did you chose MiB alignment? That's important!

Kubuntu 11.10. Superkaramba' s functionality to run plasmoid scripts is no longer needed
is it ? ( New to Kubuntu, different eyecandy etc.)

Looking for a nice sensors widget.

Liking the improvements to Unity (I tried 11.10 in a virtual machine), not keen on the Gnome3 bits though, I don't mind having stuff disabled and basic settings by default, but lacking ability to tweak to my preferences is annoying.

Thanks vasa1, now it works and installs with ease on my netbook with Unity, updated my KDE desktop and LXDE laptop as well, back to obscure world of Opera, my netbook was chocking on FF7 and TB, FF was using higher CPU, TB was another load on the CPU and memory footprint, now all in one Opera works brilliant as usual and all my bookmarks, mails and passwords are synced.:D

You're right, they do. No point removing them then, until next LTS.

So far, other than a few install errors (regarding my old apps), everything is running smooth.

This seems to be the "trend":
Presumably written by someone in the know? (see the reply by ændrük)
and (re. Unity, not Gnome 3)
    MS!
