its not enough, i want to delete more at the same time, sometimes i want to check larger collections ands its not so good to delete only 256 files at the same time. all other avs can delete more, i can not see a reason why prevx can not
Prevx intentionally limits detections on single user's PCs to prevent one user from abusing the system. We currently do not plan on extending this limit as Prevx can't be accurately tested by scanning on-demand
Keeps the overhead to a minimum, ondemand is only scratching at the surface of prevx, as joe rightly said, it stops people abusing the system, to a normal user, this is a darn lot. And as soon as I get my pc back, I shall do some more testing. I notice a lot of people using a well known link website to test, this is now irrelevant as companys are now adding these almost automatically, so so-called 0day is not really the case. Samples that havnt been seen in the cloud are ones that need to be tested, ones I have access to I'm sure especially if like me you look more at technology based detections, than whether the cloud has the detection or not. Grab just a handful of samples that are not detected via contextual scan, grab some monitoring tools, execute them and have some fun on a live machine, this will show both heuristics and behaviour based detections for you to report.
But Prevx will clean 256 infections at a time then you do a scan again it will clean another 256 infections! But who in there right mind will have that many infections to me it would be time to reinstall the OS IMHO. And I know markus is testing against bulk malware collections! TH
but i want to sort out all files at the same time. so i can see what i have to test at the end. perhaps someting like an parameter is an idea for the prvx.exe lets say you have 250 files, you must perhaps scan 100 times to see prevx detect for exsample 100 %.
