I've got something on my computer, which is why I went looking for Prevx. However, I can't even install the program. The interface pops up where it asks you to read and accept the terms and conditions, after i click the box and hit next, the same box instantaneously appears, and i can never proceed past this point. Thoughts?

Hi spamgambler and welcome to the Official Prevx Support Forum!

Here is the Direct Download Version Link with a random file name! http://info.prevx.com/download.asp?grab=prevxcsirnd as ctrlaltdelete mentioned! Before you install this version make sure that you remove the version you tried to install via Add/Remove and then reboot and install the one from link I posted! Also I'm not sure if you purchased Prevx as the free version will only remove adware but if you have a paid version and you continue to have problems with installation please contact the Prevx Support Inbox: http://info.prevx.com/service.asp

    HTH,

Now I'm unable to uninstall. When I click uninstall on the programs and features menu i get a window popping up that says "please wait until the current program is finished uninstalling or being changed", however, nothing happens.

we can have a first look at your pc and will see if we can fix something if you want.
We need to create an OTL Report

    1. Please download OTL
    -http://oldtimer.geekstogo.com/OTL.exe-

    2. Save it to your desktop.
    3. Double click on the icon on your desktop.
    4. Click the "Scan All Users" checkbox.
    5. Under "Extra Registry" please check "Use Safelist" and also check "LOP Check" and "Purity Check" as pictured.
    6. Copy and Paste the following into the textbox.

    netsvcs
    msconfig
    safebootminimal
    safebootnetwork
    activex
    drivers32
    %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Application Data\*.
    %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Application Data\*.exe /s
    %APPDATA%\*.
    %APPDATA%\*.exe /s
    %SYSTEMDRIVE%\*.exe
    /md5start
    userinit.exe
    eventlog.dll
    scecli.dll
    netlogon.dll
    cngaudit.dll
    sceclt.dll
    ntelogon.dll
    logevent.dll
    iaStor.sys
    nvstor.sys
    atapi.sys
    IdeChnDr.sys
    viasraid.sys
    AGP440.sys
    vaxscsi.sys
    nvatabus.sys
    viamraid.sys
    nvata.sys
    nvgts.sys
    iastorv.sys
    ViPrt.sys
    eNetHook.dll
    ahcix86.sys
    KR10N.sys
    nvstor32.sys
    winlogon.exe
    ahcix86s.sys
    /md5stop
    %systemroot%\system32\drivers\*.sys /lockedfiles
    %systemroot%\System32\config\*.sav
    %systemroot%\*. /mp /s
    %systemroot%\system32\*.dll /lockedfiles
    CREATERESTOREPOINT

    7. Push "scan"
    8. Two reports will open, copy and paste them in a reply here:

    Hello,
Could you please try the following steps:

Run the removal tool from http://info.prevx.com/download.asp?grab=csiuninstalltool

    Then reboot your PC

Then install the newest version from http://info.prevx.com/downloadcsi.asp

    - if it still doesn't install properly, try uninstalling again now by running:

    "c:\program files\prevx\prevx.exe" /prop UNINSTALL=AUTO

Let me know what you find!
and then reboot and install again.
