Yeah you learn a lot though but to me most who are there are the first surfers of the net. Well that's what I call us. Then again it goes by other names too :)
Real good firewall, anti-virus and browser add-on protection that other PG2 for extra IP blocking then you should be good to go.. or use annoymouse suppose to protect your privacy, protect your data and it's protects for free.

Not using that IE6 as much as I use to with Sandboxie... Mostly Firefox 3.5.2 or Opera 9.x after tweaking that to go even faster.

    Rising 2010 have great improvement.But 2009 seems a little weak.With HIPS,but can't pass HIPS test.

Rising 2010 you have info on that version? Since you're in China and Rising is in China what else can you share. But won't that version be aimed at Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 than Windows XP Pro SP3 and Windows Server 2003.

I am testing 500 pest (trojans/cloaked malware/spyware/worms/viruses etc.. against RIS 2009 right now I'll post the results later on..

    Re: Second Test

Rising had started 2010's test, but now the test is over.Someone who took part in the test said Rising 2010 had improvement, and specially its HIPS.Rising 2010 runs faster than previous version and setting becomes simpler. Its detect rate improves.

    Waiting for 2010:) .

Sounds great! That's for sharing that info about 2010, but 2009 doesn't let you down until you harden it.. I'll try RIS 2010 when it comes out but for now 2009works

500 - Malware Test on RIS (RAV)

500 files with hidden files so the total was exceeding 879. After the test only 37 files were in the TEST folder, but RIS didn't stop cleaning files or deleting them the end result was only 18 remain out 500. Those 18 I had tried to delete them but some couldn't be deleted, but then RIS automatically set in and start cleaning and deleting so about 10 more were deleted by RIS and 8 was removed by me. Still not bad. Geswall failed to run during and after it won't load at startup. I'll have to uninstall it and re-install it. Other than that RIS with RPCD worked well on these 500 pest. My test laptop can be still use and function after this. Not bad!

There are hidden settings you can enable as by default they're disabled. Don't ask me why? I set all scans to the max with these defaults enabled.

Looks good.RIS strengthen its HIPS.The detection rates are not bad.Maybe a good start.

Continuing waiting for 2010.In China,Rising has start to accept the booking and the price is just 50 RMB.

2010 version going to have tight on protection, Free version RFW and RAV are good for now. RAV and Avira PE are pretty tight. Though RAV does network scans on the shares where Avira PE doesn't do that nor does it have Web Shield or Outlook email scanner.

I don't believe Rising's Network Protection.I don't think it is good.I tested it and it disappointed me.

I am just interested in its HIPS.I want to know what changes in its HIPS's rules. This time, can it still pass the comodo leak test wonderfully?

Memory leak RFW, RIS 2009 weak. RIS2010 is stronger but missed 11/340 out of the comodo leak test. RFW only was better with RAV installed. I only got one system running RIS2009 I had dropped RIS2010 buggy beta.

Is this WIn 7 x64 compatible yet? When I first tried it I loved it, but it slowed my system to a crawl and I couldnt access the net until I turned it off or uninstalled it.
