Can the bootable cd create md devices

Can I create md device with the acronis bootable cd by logging into a shell ?
For example if I backup a md0 device and the cd cannot restore it as it cant see a software md0 device , the bootable cd should allow me to create the device manually and then restore the image.

Does anybody know if this is possible with the Acronis rescue media cd.

Please see this article regarding support of md devices.

If Acronis Bootable Rescue Media doesn't detect your md device, please make sure you use the latest build (3883) of Acronis True Image 9.1 Server for Linux. To get access to updates you should first register your software. Don't forget to recreate Acronis Bootable Rescue Media after updating.

If updating doesn't solve the problem, please collect some information to let us investigate it thoroughly:

Please create Linux system information (sysinfo.txt) as it is described in Acronis Help Post.

Please collect Lynux system report as described in this post.

Please also create Acronis Report in the way described below:

- Download and run Acronis Report Utility;
- Select the "Create Bootable Floppy" option;
- Insert a blank floppy disk in the A: drive and proceed with creation of the bootable floppy;
- Boot the computer from this diskette and wait for report creation process to finish;
- Collect the report file from the floppy.

Then submit a request for technical support. Attach all the collected files and information to your request along with the step-by-step description of the actions taken before the problem appears and the link to this thread. We will investigate the problem and try to provide you with a solution.

I have fedora core 4 running on a VM server I can see the raid 1 md0 md1 md2 for my boot , swap and root partition but when I select those 3 partitions to be backed up through the Acronis management console the VM server crashes. But if i do individual disks /dev/sda1 and /dev/sda2. It works fine. But when I restore those partitions on to another VM server with same specs it restores each partition fine but when I boot the linux server it gives me a kernel panic. I am using kernel-2.6.11-1.1369_FC4 fedora core 4.
What is the best way to backup this server and restore it. I am simulating our production server which is setup in a raid 1 array. I am running the latest Acronis enterprise edition 9.1 which has agents for linux. Is there a new agent for linux as the last update was in 2006.
