    After a complete Restore of my C drive recently I went into TI 10 Home and deleted my previous TI Tasks, one of which had been set to run at shutdown. Now, even tho those tasks are gone, I still get the popup box saying TI is creating a backup at shutdown...even tho no actual process i running and the box goes away and the computer shuts down within 30 seconds. If there are no tasks how can this box pop up?

    I don't do any automated or scheduled tasks, but I'll take a stab at it.

    Click Start/Run and type msconfig in the dialog box.
    Next click the Startup tab and check if there is anything relating to True Image scheduling in there.

    Also look in the XP Task Scheduler--just in case.

    Hello Rcrete,

    Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

    Could you please do the following to provide us with the information about scheduled task on your computer?

    - Download schedmgr.exe application;

    - Open the command prompt (Start -> Run -> cmd);

    - Run the following command in the folder the schedmgr.exe file was saved to:

    schedmgr get report > schedreport.txt

    - Collect schedreport.txt (do not close command prompt);

    - Issue the following command:

    set logflags support

    - Schedule backup creation once again;

    - Wait until the scheduled backup will fail;

    - Collect the log file schedul2.log that is placed in the \Program Files\Common Files\Acronis\Schedule2 folder.

    Then submit a request for technical support. Attach all the collected files and information to your request along with the step-by-step description of the actions taken before the problem appears and the link to this thread. We will examine the information and try to provide you with a solution.

    You can also have a look at this previous post, which describes how to delete scheduled task using schedmgr.exe.

    Thank you.

    Issue resolved. by examining the previous post you referenced i discoverd that although i had deleted tasks in acronis they still appeared as scheduled using schedmgr. i simply deleted them as described and the message at shutdown disappeared. after i get my new drives installed and operating properly i will simply schedule new tasks.

    thanks
