A 'clone' process works differently than an 'image' process
Casper, Did I read correctly that you used the 'clone' mode and not the 'disk/partition image' mode to back-up your 60 GB drive onto a 100 GB drive?
If so, you should be able to see/change that by goiing into the BIOS.
A thought Casper... I Know gHOST 2003 has a problem with SATA drives, so I am wondering if 2273 might also be having problems with SATA (don't...
I bet there is some other explaination. That doesn't make any sense.
Fedor, Are you saying you can't use a full disk image, or are you saying you have to just restore the separate partitions (no MBR,etc) one at a...
so, I can't install it as an internal drive and restore the image to it and boot from it?
What I have is a 'Seagate ST910082 3A' USB external Hard drive. It plugs into any of my 7 USB 2.0 ports on the E-510. I guess it comes out of...
Added to response...What I first want confidence in is ...the 'corrupted' message many report here when they try to restore, even though image...
Thanks seekforever. I don't exactly know if I can put the external in . My computer is 250 GB SATA and the external is 100GB IDE, I believe....
I made a full image backup of my drive C: on USB external drive (using TI 9.0.3666 linux rescue boot CD) and it verified as good. I agree that...

Joseph, check out this Microsoft link concerning Documents and Settings folder:http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;q236621 Don
I am new to this too, so this may be wrong....but if you mount the partition image try using explore to find the specific files or folders in the...
Will that differential backup include programs, registry, etc?
But remember, you can't restore programs that way...only data files and folders.
I did a two step set with 3633 on DVD+Rs and 3633 couldn't read the DVDs, but 3666 could.
Yes, the differential can be mounted if the 'full' is with it in the same folder.
What size are the volumes in the multi volume archive, and I assume you didn't tell TI to split them? You could mount the full backup image and...
It sounds like your image was split...FAT32 is size limited to 4 GB, but NTFS isn't. What device did you back up to?
Are your partitions NTFS or FAT?
dld, This is what I was referring to.
what seekforever says is absolutely true...it works. Acronis' policy is, however, that you need a license for each computer, even if you only use...
dld, It probably doesn't matter, but why do you think MS does the splitting in the case with FAT32 size limitations? My guess is that TI checks...
