Avast, and for very casual PC users, MSE.
Great setup. I think you are about as gold as you're going to get. I have OpenDNS on our boxes at home, as well as LUA with locked down Avast...
Exactly. FP's are a VERY big deal.
Thanks again to the Wilders staff, the participating software companies, and my personal thanks to Paragon! ;)
Imagine you don't have 1-5 PC's, but that you're responsible for 12,000. Do you then want better detection, or fewer FP's, or the best balance...
That is a very interesting post. Too bad that the vast majority will read it and not realize the significance. Thanks for posting the link.
Good to hear the Alwil guys are on the ball. Installed the new build this morning. Hope it fixes the issues, GideonD.
Gideon, if it's one thing I've observed about the guys at Alwil, it's that they get stuff working when it's broken. Hang in there, and they'll...

Great app. Saved my bacon a few times.
You need to check the Dixie Dictionary. ;)
Remember, this is not an XP box. It has LUA capability, but any SRP features are limited. There is no firewall in W2K unless we're counting...
How would you defend this laptop? Pentium II 300 Mhz. 96 MB RAM Windows 2KSP4 Want lightest defense possible. Fire away! ;D
avast! is the first one that pops into my head.
Hey Pecker Head!! (Just wanted to post that.) ;D
FP's are not a big issue to someone with 3-4 computers to deal with. In a network of hundreds--or thousands--of users and workstations, FP's can...
