try using the data studio trial as it might use an independent licencing method
there were changes made in the licencing since version 11 (December 2017) to combat piracy. maybe its stopping you from retrying the trial...
it sure sounds like a licence issue. maybe you have used the trial in the past? are you using registered or trial version?
