Same problems with iTunes as mentioned in earlier posts. Had to remove HMPA...not something I wanted to do since I paid for 3 years.
I didn't have a problem iTunes but lately Firefox was misbehaving. Removed HMPA and things appear better...may be just a conincidence though.
