AVG Anti-Malware is compatible with Vista, not Anti-Spyware. :)

If it's being released mid-April, would that the beta or final version?

I have Vista Ultimate 64 bit, will this go-round of AVG support 64 bit?

I hope so, because when Grisoft released the Vista-compatible version of AVG Anti-Malware, it was compatible with 32-bit and 64-bit versions right from the day of release. As of April 17, 2007, Grisoft announced that AVG Internet Security is also now compatible with Windows Vista (32 and 64-bit):

    http://www.grisoft.com/doc/63002/us/crp/6

So, right now, every product in the AVG line up except AVG AntiSpyware is Vista compatible. What does this tell you? It definitely *seems* like AVG AntiSpyware is not given enough priority over at Grisoft...

April 27 and still no vista compatible avg anti spyware. I noticed avg website have changed the a/s vista compatibility from Q2 2007 (never knew what that meant) to a plain, not compatible symbol, red cross. Doesnt look good to me. Anyone got a clue?

Q2 2007 was supposed to mean the period from April to June 2007, but now its been romved...o_O

But the Grisoft site also says that improved language support is in the works for AVG Anti-Spyware in Q2 2007, and this has not been removed. That probably means a Vista version is still being developed. ;)

Yea, but I'da thought changing the languages would have been the easy part. It really sucks cos im paying for avg a/s an my puter broke down just a month after buying it.. New comp now using vista of course.

Sooo, avg as works as part of the anti malware package with vista, yet not by itself.. Dont believe it! And those who have got a working avg as, can bearly update from what I can gather.. It clearly seems like they just dont want us to have it anymore. If this is the case, (and only if) why dont they just come clean and announce it no longer available? I mean, they could allways release a standalone as build for existing licence holders only.. with am availability only, afterward. I just dont know what to think nowadays, but I personally dont trust these guys anymore.

No, that's absolutely not the case! The main problem is, that the guard/resident shield technology used by AVG AS is very different from the one used in AVG AV etc. We're still testing and fixing bugs :(

Good Grief!! Leave the Guys Alone ffs!.... they are doing their best to release a Vista Compatible Version, I'm sure you would all scream and shout, if they released a Version which was full of Bugs :cautious: Anyway, I have a 3 yr Licence to AVG/AS and it wont expire till Oct 2009, So I can wait for the Upgrade :cautious:

By the time it comes out they will have lost a load of customers with their lack of fixing the current versions update problem. I've already gone

Congratulations guys of ewido ( With exception by Karl ) on this kind of communication to your customers. Absolutely typically for " money rules the world. Hardly bought up, they forgets, whom it success owe. Outstanding achievement of a formerly exemplary German enterprise.
