    Under Panda NanoScan:
I'm wondering how valid that statement is? and if it is vaild why would that be? Shouldn't both be using the same technologies... o_O

This statement should not be correct.First , Nanoscan only scans the memory for loaded threats . Second , there is no way it can be better than already installed product. If the last statement was true than why would all Panda customers buy Panda AV pack , they could use the free Nanoscan :D

Currently, NanoScan or ActiveScan are able to detect more than the installed, active and updated Panda security products you have. This is due to the inclusion of the new Panda MegaDetection: it is capable of detecting much more malware (viruses, spyware…) than a traditional antivirus.

Since the MegaDetection is still in a testing phase, only the beta versions of NanoScan and ActiveScan include it. Once the tests finish, the MegaDetection will be included in all Panda products for home users: Panda Antivirus 2007, Panda Antivirus + Firewall 2007 and Panda Internet Security 2007. We expect these products will have the MegaDetection feature by April 2007. And it will be free.

    Thank you for the comments.

Does anyone know if the file size max lists for Jotti, virustotals etc are correct?
I got them off the website but it seems to me that they are not quite accurate.

Does anyone know the file size limit for http://scanner.virus.org/ ?

Also If you guys can think of some other characteristic of each service that you want listed ,do tell and I will try to add that in if it's possible.

BTW I'm not quite sure if the column about scan archives is correct. I just zipped an eicar file and see if they detected it (if the website doesn't state it or doesn't offer an option to scan archives). No doubt this test is totally inaccurate.

While you are at it, you might also look at http://wiki.castlecops.com/AntiVirus_Comparison . comments are welcome

Still good and up & running. The good old www.security-ops.eu.tt :D
Though i have to admit it it's somehow out of date because i'm too lazy (mostly missing few new scanners).

Virus Chaser seems to have a new web domain/site. Try this link.

EDIT: Note: The engine Windows Live OneCare uses is Microsoft's own which is based off RAV (Reliable AntiVirus).

And I expected you to be able to recognize some dry humor, especially when the URL that you provided includes the release date.  At least they will offer cleaning unlike the Kaspersky online scanner. :thumb:

except kaspersky does better cleaning than eset.
its nice they offer cleaning thou.
but so does bitdefender online scan.
so i can understand why kaspersky doesnt offer cleaning with there online scanner.
