i don't know when kav5.0 was released i just know that kis6.0 came out in june 2006.
but plant extract is right 7.0 is using the some of the same code as 6.0 which means it should come out alot faster than a total rewrite.

5.0 was released on the 28th of April 2004, 6.0 was released on the 15th of may 2006 and no i'm not a geek, i actually had to check if it was the 28th or the 29th 5.0 was released. ;) :D

7.0 might be here sooner than "we" think. :)

I agree also, 7.0 will be out sooner then we think.

Whizard and lucianbara, in the Kav forums, have both said it is a server problem.

I'm trying out the beta right now, and I can say it is way lighter for me to use right now. It's still a little heavier than others I've used like Dr. Web or Nod32, but it's lighter than version 6. I like how I can activate the heuristics and leave the proactive thingi off, yay! So far I like it way better and it runs way better than version 6.:D

Having just purchased KIS 6, I'm wondering if I can Install KIS 7 BETA with the Same Activation Code I recieved for v6
    :doubt:

No you can't. You have to use the beta code for KIS 7.
Available on the KAV server with the download for KIS 7.

Been running the beta for a few weeks now and I'm really likeing what I see!.

OK Kaspersky people, WAKE UP! If you set the scheduler to Scan every Weeks as it says (Not Week as it should say) It cant recognize the present day I set it to scan every weeks  And clicked 8:30pm Fridays, and it Sets it to 8:30 Thursdays  However if I set it to Scan Every Saturday, the Scheduler Sets the Scan day as Friday o_O  Also Again HUGE problems completing a scan with Spy Sweeper, Spy Sweeper takes 90 mins as it did with v6 to Complete, yet 10 minutes Plus without Kaspersky Installed  Another problem that Kaspersky refuse to Address and blame Webroot  Alas. Dear Kaspersky, then why does it work perfectly without your product Installed :ninja: And yes, I Added everything to the Exclusion Zone :gack: Out! You Go Kaspersky, Out You Jolly Well Go!!! :thumbd: Incidently, I run Windows Vista, so Maybe Kaspersky Need to Fix their Vista Compatibility issues with Other Software.

how about waiting for a new build, it could be a problem between first day monday vs first day sunday.

It could indeed, but being as its BETA, it gives me Another reason to throw out, and stay away from BETA programs. I generally dont participate in Beta Testing, and probably will never bother again, I've gone back to KIS 6 and I'll wait patiently for the Official release of KIS 7 :cautious:

I've run into this same problem with the scheduler. I checked Monday, and the scheduler shows Sunday. Check Tues., it shows Mon., etc. I posted this in the Kaspersky beta 7 bugs thread. Hopefully it will be fixed in the next build.

I tried this latest beta just a little to test and saw not much difference in my Web browsing from the previous released version. Tried setting Web Av to Maximum but no good for me using Opera 9 with Sprint broadband connection. May try again later.

im giving it a try here on vista.

its definatly an improvement from 6, and i do prefer the GUI now.

seems to run ok, but not really tested it much, just first impressions really.

Please share your tests with us so they can improve Kaspersky. The Kaspersky guys are on the forum more times on a daily basis so they really listen
