    well both are AV+HIPS
    antivir updates alot.
    but kaspersky updates more.
    both very high detection rate.
prevx is only a one way firewall but combine with windows firewall creates a two way firewall.

Antivir PE w/Prevx1, Comodo firewall and BoClean, AVG anti spyware on demand.
    Low system drain.
    Great protection.

Overall I think KIS gives you more protection. Its firewall and PDM give you greater control over outbound connections.

It is too bad no matter what I do KIS 6 slows my Opera 9 browsing down just enough to be annoying. I would go with Antivir and Prevx1 just for that reason alone.

Yes I have tried all the tweaks but still a lag but I don't mean to take theis off topic so I would still stay with the Antivir combo there although except for lag I like KIS 6.

    same except LnS firewall.

    Now, Antivir 6M, Boclean 10M, Prevx 16M, LnS 6M.

On cable, download speed is 12Mbps (wireless PC to router).

I have been using antivir + prevx1 for a while and I dumped prevx1 recently.
Prevx1 just do nothing while antivir running real time. and once a while prevx1 report FPs, its no way to get the good files out of its probation box.

Assuming the programme is now flagged safe you can move to holding cell, then to jail (you can't go direct to jail from probation), and wait for Prevx to confirm safe.

I'm waiting for a programme to be flagged safe and I'm hoping this method will work.

Double click on them, the database then checks them with the Community Database and if good removes them. It has found 3 for me that were malware. Prevx1 has quickly moved up my list to one of two must haves. And trust me, when Prevx2 debuts, quite a few here are going to be shocked.

sorry i thought i was pretty clear,

prevx 'takes over' the system its installed on, i.e infecting it

with heavy performance issues and not really a good detection rate, i would never place this on any machine.
