How to send Heuristics find to Eset

My less than computer literate husband asked me what a Nod system tray balloon notice meant after he told me he closed it. The actual name of the file found is almost embarassing to publish

I'm running Nod32 2.7 on his machine. As the threat detected was NewHeur_PE I was concerned that it was submitted as soon as possible. I've managed to submit it finally because Nod was clever enough to bring up the balloon notice again and I managed to catch it.

For the future, how can I do this when he does something this stupid again or maybe misses it and I find it later. The balloons don't stay up long and he's not going to learn any time soon

He has a talent for finding extremely dodgy websites so I guess this is going to happen again.

 

I guess it is this setting you are after ("Submit suspicious files without asking")? I know that one gets this choice in the setup/install process, but I do think that one can also change this later on? Unfortunately, I don't remember where as I currently don't have NOD32 installed (I switched AV).

Open NOD32 Control Center -> NOD32 System Tools -> NOD32 System Setup.Now choose Setup.Choose "ThreatSense.NET" tab.

Make sure that "Enable ThreatSense.Net Early Warning System" is enabled and then press "Advanced setup" . Make them as show on the picture.Confirm with OK and then Hide the Control Center.

Make sure that NOD32 is updated by pressing the Update now button in the Update section and then perform full of your computer (probably your In-Depth analysis profile)

 

Thanks HiTech_boy - it was the local Nod32 config I needed. I submit malware files through email or to Jotti when I find them on computers I'm cleaning up. Often they don't have functioning AV and rarely Nod32. I wanted to do it without Nod32 asking my husband something he doesn't know.

I can bypass human intervention and get Nod32 to do it instead, then he doesn't need to ask his wife to fix it

Or not tell her, because he's embarassed
