I always used Trillian, so I could control both my ICQ and MSN in one program, but now I have some trouble with MSN in Trillian so I use ICQ 2003 and MSN 6.0.

MSN Messenger has an issue with Sending/Receiving Files depending if the users Connection Type offers Internal IP different from the External IP. Also there are File Transfer issues between ICQ and Trillian users.

I don’t use Trillian but I been told it offered PASSV Support, or at least place to customize an IP, which should fix the issue with Users with Connection Type that offers Internal IP different from the External IP…

I Usually use Trillian but will switch with MSN 6 when I want to Voice Chat.

Regarding the File Transfer issues with Trillian, the new ver 2 release is supposed to address those issues but I have not tested those capabilities on it yet so I cannot say if they are truly resolved

Use ICQ, AIM and Yahoo base accounts through Trillian. (None of the programs themselves are on the computer anymore except Trill). Pete

nah...there's lots of us out there Detox...we are just shy. LOL

i have used ICQ for 6 yrs (that was my poll vote), and MSN for almost as long...i just started using AIM this past year. Think i would feel kind of not connected to the internet now if i didn't have one of them.

gee...i must be on a poll-roll today, this is my 4th one! :D

Trillian 2.0 PRO file xfers work on both yahoo and MSN for me. I am behind a router too. The MSN file xfers work better for you on Trillian if both sides are behind NAT. MSN will slow down in that case, where Trillian speeds right along :D

Trillian - It has better security properties than all except Hush Messenger.

I have had hassles with trillian so now use Msn 6 for msn and for yahoo i use YahELite . I prefer these two as you can access any groups with them . Im not sure wether the new trillian allows you to access groups or just instant messaging.. I find it a great way to keep in touch with family and freinds who are scattered around the planet also .

    I use Yahoo Messenger.
That's the only messenger that I currently use.

When I was more active with messenging I had Windows(MSN)Messenger and Trillian also.

Trillian (at that time) was the best cross-platform Messenger program.

I use both ICQ and Yahoo. I've got two women on ICQ (in England and Bulgaria), and one on Yahoo (in Australia). So I've got a girl in every port.
