Allow TCP and UDP in both directions for uTorrent on the port you use on it, or for all ports. That should work.

Ok I tried that but it is a bit confusing for setup we have local, remote and than first tab.

Thks sorry for stupid question , it is a great program I gotta say and light on resources. Very amazing a few things to add and fix up and it will be an excellent program.

    Re: uTorrent Help

See this thread. You can always search, too. ;)

You can simply allow uT all connections both ways. (All ports)
Or try my method that's sorta based on Comodo firewall logic.

On the General tab you set:

    Direction: Both
    Action: Allow
    Protocol: TCP and UDP

On the Local tab, you only have the path to uTorrent. On the Remote tab, make sure you have clean fields for both port and address.

also if you have the firewall on interactive open uTorrent and allow one of the pop ups then just edit the rule to all ports for the program if you want or to your personal preferences.

Ok I understand it now for the 3 tabs , I also tried this .When I first installed eset I put it in interactive mode ,so when I loaded up utorrent it asked me about 5-6 questions(popups) and I later checked and everything u guys told me to do ,eset had already done it exactly that way except one thing in the local tab on top it marked the port number.

    Thks

I could never good speeds like that. That was my first try, though: Allow the uT app all outgoing connections while allowing only the uT listening port for incoming connections.

Sounds right, though... maybe I have a bug or something. I also noticed my "uTorrent Port" rule (see other thread) was randomly deleted one day. And every time I get a new uT build (or any updated app) I must respecify the app or I will get all the popups asking permission again.

I think that happens because ESS notices the program version changed so it asks again.

There is a setting for that:

Advanced Setup > Personal Firewall > Application Modification Detection

You can put uTorrent in the excluded list.

hmmm... I just put in a new version and it didn't re-ask me for anything and I didn't add it to any exclusions in options... hmmm....
