Is the heuristic analyzer only for on-demand scans? Or is it also in the RTM? (can't install on work computer :D )

Also real time. But you are able to set it the way you like in the several anti virus parts

Hum it's working great, no leak! CPU/Memory usage are a bit higher than the previous beta, but it's easily understandable ;).

Great job from Kaspersky Labs as usual ;p

Now give a try to the new heuristic engine...

Thanks for releasing the beta. I had been looking forward to the heuristics module for quite a while. And the new UI is cool.

Hey Sjoeii, you've tried both ESS and KIS 7 betas.

I know KIS passed some more of your tests, but which one is more stable and feels lighter?

its more of upgrade to the older GUI than completely new interface which norton and mcafee did.
    Anyhow,the changes look promising....
Can someone post some more screen-shots...

    Hi Ablatt

To be honest. KIS 7 feels lighter. KIS has more components as well. But ESS is more stable at the moment. KIS has some hickups at this time of the beta. The beta testers are working on it to remove those. There are some GUI hickups, scan can be very long at this time. Why don't you take alook at the Kaspersky Forum as well. Here you will find a bugthread with the parts which must be solved.

But even with these bugs I'm satying with KIS. To me it feels lighter and the AV and Firewall feel much more secure:thumb:

Had to install it this evening and I'm liking what I see.
GUI is a change and a good one.
Did not install the Parental Control. No need for it here but everything else is up and running.
Runs smooth and light even with the added features.
If the beta runs so well, I can only imagine what the final version will be like.

How to get the beta? The link you have requires login credentials.

Can someone check the AV mem usage of Kaspersky 7 and compare it to what they remember the usage was with Kaspersky 6?

At the time of this posting the total memory usuage is 10,460k, running 2 processes.
About the same with KIS 6.
Only been running it for several hrs. now, so it could change.
But for a suite this is very, very light.
