Comodo (2.4.18.184) & Kaspersky (Kaspersky Personal Pro 5.0.527) do not seem to get along very well for me...

I am constently getting the following alert that i have to keep accepting - its very annoying.

    kavsvc.exe refuses communication with COMODO

Anything i can do to fix this problem?

I see that there is very little on the net about it.

    Any help appreciated.

Kaspersky 5.0 has a sort of built-in firewall function, which could be conflicting with Comodo.

    Try this:

In the Configure Real Time Protection window, follow the Real Time Protection Settings hyperlink to access the Real Time Protection Settings window and place a check in the Disable Protection against Network Attacks checkbox. See if that helps.

It is KAV`s selfprotection kicking in. You can disable the notification. In AVS it is under Service -> Notifications. Don`t know if it is the same in KAV.

kav 5 doesn't have that form of self protection.

I placed all the comodo files in the kav ignore list... the alerts did still happen but since i restarted, they seemed to have stopped. That said - the problem was not constant & sometimes it would be ok...

So i can't be certain that has fixed it yet.

Any downside or security issue with putting all the comodo files in kavs ignore list?

You mention that you have placed the Comodo files into the Kav ignore list,.. have you checked for similar settings/option within Comodo (I thought there was a "Trusted applications" list within comodo,... Please correct if not.
