MCRD Device Service

In the past 24 hours, my firewall has been telling me that a program, namely:MCRD Device Service, file mcrdsvc. exe, has been trying to act as server. I don't recognise this program and I certainly don't want it to function as a server unless it's absolutely necessary so I've bee blocking it.

I hope it doesn't mean that something nasty has crept in and is trying to execute.

Can anyone throw any light on this?
