preparing to install latest NOD32

    Under Blackspears #39 he stated EMON is for outlook only. What do I do since I do not use Outlook? I use Thunderbird with MailWasher.

    I also use Thunderbird with Mailwasher. IMON is configured by default to scan incoming email.

    Do nothing, Thunderbird uses POP3, and IMON handles POP3.

    What about web based email's such as: Gmail?

    Web based (www) is HTTP traffic , you open it via your browser.
    IMON also handles HTTP traffic .

    Gmail uses secured POP3 (POP3s) so it's impossible for IMON do decrypt the data on the fly. AMON will scan attachments on save / open.

    Thank you for your answers. I used Blackspear's Extra Settings for NOD32 and everything is going just like it did before installing NOD32. In other words no problems.
