i would go for NIS 2007 or KIS 6, both are great suites.

as for norton 360, wouldn't touch it.

I am no norton fan at all.Too many problems in the past with that darn program. But i will admit 2007 is running the best i have ever seen norton run.It came on my wifes laptop with vista. But kaspersky runs better with fewer processes.

360 lacks settings, has a useless backup tool and has no-right click scanning, and when performing a scan, you need to scan through everything including useless things as weak passwords etc, no thank you.

if you go to norton, internet security suite ONLY! and if you want to add anti-spam and parental control, just install the add-on for the suite.

i do like cnet's reviews, not always the 'score' but the actual reviews seem to be good.

zonealarm 7 suite gets a good score and review on there, ive never tried it.

I would prefer the Nis since that is what I am running, but the Kis is supposed to be great also. And by the way if you go with the NIS you can get the addon pack free

None, look for a better deal, spend a little more to forget about all those big dollar rebates. I did finally get mine from Norton but it was not easy a few years back.

    REBATES :p :p :p

Of those options I'd take KAV 6.0 from CompUsa.

Don't know if you noticed, but the Kaspersky CompUSA deal is an upgrade only: "Note: This is a Mfr. Competitive Upgrade Mail-in Rebate (previous version required). See rebate form for detailed information." As for Norton, wouldn't use it if it was free.

For what it's worth, the "upgrade" rebate only requires that you write the name and manufacturer of your previous AV product. Unlike some upgrade rebates, it doesn't even require that you send in proof of ownership of a competitor's product, it only requires that you write down which product you used.
