Not sure of your question. Perhaps my Beginner's Guides can help. Check my signature for link.

You should have created a bootable Rescue CD and you should be using same to restore your system. If your computer is rebooting to Windows then that means you are not using the Rescue CD.

If you take the trouble of reading Grover's Beginner's Guide as given in post #3 of this thread you will read the following:

Boot the computer using the previously created Acronis Rescue CD. Select either the Full or Safe version option–whichever you had previously confirmed as being able to see all required devices.

So a very silly recommendation it might be, but please give it a try and see before passing judgment.

    Hello carlo67,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

Please note that along with the above instructions I would recommend that you find the detailed instructions on how to use Acronis True Image 10.0 Home in the respective User's Guide. Namely, chapter 6. "Restoring the backup data".

In addition, this article providing the illustrated instructions on Acronis True Image installation and usage could be useful. Note however that these instructions are actually for Acronis True Image 9.0 Home but also apply for Acronis True Image 10.0 Home.

    Thank you.
