Alternatives to Quicken-Must run in Windows 2000

What are the alternatives to Intuit's Quicken Premier 2007?
I was thinking about getting the critter until I saw the comments at Amazon.com.
Must run in Windows 2000, so MSFT Money is not an alternative.

Primary concern is investment transactions.

I've been tinkering with Money Manager Ex for a while now. I only use it for checking/banking records. (I do not use any auto-reconciliation routines with my bank.) I run my copy from a USB flash drive (I run the zipped version.)

MMEx is a fairly basic program. Nothing flashy like Quicken or Money. But it does one key thing I want and seems to do it quite well. A way to track income and expenses. Of course, it can do more than that. But I'm not using that portion and don't expect to...

 

A few minutes ago, I unpacked the .zip for MMEx.
It may be fine for dealing with income and expenses, but the investments portion may need more work.

The following, not free, looks like a good program, but may be overkill for my needs. I've not yet tried the program.
