I still use MSIE6 as default browser, but only for a few safe websites.
I'm not really interested in MSIE7, but if it comes I will use it.
I'm indifferent towards MSIE like most MS Applications.
My real browser is the brilliant Firefox. :)

I went from Opera to Firefox to IE 7.

IE 7 still feels the best in overall performance.

It does not matter which browser you use, because each and every browser that you use is not properly secured if you use the default settings.

I believe it is a matter of personal preference. Some website owners who designed their websites for IE, had better make their website compatible with other browsers as well. If they have a partnership with Microsoft, I'm not surprised if their site is made IE-compatible only.

add popular to that and Id agree
(Konqueror ships damn secure in default)
but Id advise FF w\ noscript and half a brain when allowing scripts to run,
ideally any of the historically vulnerable attack vectors should be virtualized (browser\email\IM) and or proxied. Including all these browsers when your not on totally familiar ground

I'm a Netscape kinda guy and have been using Mozilla Suite/SeaMonkey for years.

I doubt that I will ever change.

Being in the computer business and having to support hundreds of PC's, not just my own, I have a little different take on IE 7 than most people.

I found that when I let M$ Updates install I.E. 7 on my own XP system, I began having problems with O.E. which I also use.

I subsequently UNInstalled I.E. 7 and went back to I.E.6.
My primary browser is however, Firefox 2.0.0.2. I've been using FF since the early Beta days and have found it more than satisfactory.

Since my own experience with I.E. 7, I've had to remove it from many of my customer's PC's for reasons similar to my own.

I now have I.E. 7 upgrade blocked from my PC and the PC's of my customers.

I realize that other peoples experiences will vary, but that's OK.
NO two computers are exactly alike and no two users experiences will be alike either. To each his own.

    Cheers!

I have IE7 set as the default browser and use it for Microsoft updates, and incoming Outlook e-mail videos etc. Everything else goes through Firefox.
