Is there a way to load NIC drivers using the Snap Deploy agent from a boot disk? The agent does not recognize the embedded Marvell Yukon NIC on the PCs I'm working with. I get the following error when booting the agent:

ERROR: Unable to locate IOAPIC for IRQ 24

When the agent loads I am unable to configure the NIC, or browse the network. I tried this on multiple machines of the exact same hardware type and got the same results. I then installed a 3Com 10/100 NIC and it was recognized. I appreciate your input. Thanks!

    Same here.

I am using a new Dell Optiplex 740 with a Broadcomm 57xx NIC. Snap Deploy agent always stays at processing... and the management console never sees the PC.
I wrote to tech support but have not heard back. Honestly, Acronis tech support is lacking greatly. We are a corporate customer and need support in a timely fashion. I believe Acronis has a good product but they need to bump up the support to compete with Symantec Imaging. Just my 2 cents.
I cannot find a way to add my NIC either... You?

We are a corporate customer who ran into this issue as well. The short answer is "We are constantly updating out driver set and will add yours as soon as possible."

We actually contacted Acronis tech support and since we were a big customer, they made us a custom boot disk with our driver within about a week or so.

There is a way to do it manually. You boot off the disk and then hit the key that enters debug mode (don't remember what this is, search the forums). You can then enter a simple linux prompt and manually add the linux driver for your NIC. It's a fairly detailed procedure though and I don't have all the information. Try looking through the forums and someone might be able to help you out.

Sorry I don't have the solution for you to follow.

I did receive a reply and a fix!
There are four files that need to be replaced.
Here is a copy/paste from my email corresondence with Acronis:
I don't know if the links will work for you or not. If not, PM me and I will forward the files to you.
I still cannot write a Master Image File to DVD directly from the Master machine... That is my next challange!
    Thanks,
    Eric

Hello, I can't deploy an image to computer with a Realtek RTL8111B network card. Could you send me the files above to my mail address? My mail is sinbat@yandex.ru. Thanks in advance!

OK sinbat and MHarmony, they are on the way. Two emails, one file each.
I sure hope the Acronis folks post these here soon!

BTW, I'd edit your posts and remove your email address or at least disguise it. You will get tons of junk mail by posting an email address out in the open in forums. Nothing against these forums, it applies to any and all forums. Just my two cents...
Good luck and let me know if the files don't come through...

Hello again! Unfortunately, I didn't receive your files! Let's try again.

P.S. Sorry for mistakes, but I'm not good at knowing English.

No problem. I think I did something wrong trying to send it to you and MHarmony together. I resent them...

Actually, I think it is gmail that is having problems. Let me try from my other account.... hang on.... each file is 10MB...

    Eric,

Thanks for the 2 files, however I dont have the ramdisk.dat and the kernel.dat files. I do have the OSDDemon folder and the ImageCreator but no ramdisk or kernel .dat files.

Now my mailbox is clean. If you are still enough patience, please send the files again.

P.S. If the files you sent to me are so large, why don't you split them using the file manager Total Commander, for example? Sorry for disturbance once again!

Anyone know where I can just post these files online? Any free services?
I'd love to have them available all the time. Plus, they are each just a tad over 10MB each. I haven't been able to get them to the last two folks because their email systems are rejecting them due to size.

    Can I subdivide them somehow?

Hello, Eric! Could you leave your mail address where I would be able to send my icq number? I think that we can continue our discussion by means of icq.

emtownsend, same problem here, if it's not to much trouble, could you also send me the files? address is
    jvanhassel at trin-it dot nl

but if possible, I would like you to upload them to http://office.trin-it.nl/gsp.dll?sid=58&pid=14
as a zip file, that would really be great.

if more people would like to have the files, I could make them available for download somewhere, I can imagine that all this mailing of these files isn't your exactly your hobby...

    Thanks in advance! Hasseltje

Apparently, I am having the same issue with SnapDeploy on some new Dell Optiplex 745 PCs with the Broadcom 57xx familiy Model 5754 NIC. I think this is a new model. I know that there is nothing wrong with the NIC because I was able to PXE boot to the SD Management server and load the Master Image Creator. However, no NIC is display in the configuration screen. I can see all local resources, but no network resources. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!

I'm another corporate user of the Broadcom chipset, Dell Optiplex 745 NIC drivers are not recognized. Please send them to curtis dot stoecklin at gmail dot com.

Also, I'll post these on my web server for use by all since Acronis Support obviously sux. It looks like I cnertainly won't be buying the server enterprise product ... too bad - I loved v8.
