I have a backup of my XP systems (2 Partitions/Installations) and have restored them before with no problems. This time the drive letters get all screwed up and the fist partion/instllation will boot as normal but the second gets to the blue welcome screen that would normaly have the icons of each user account and hang there. What am I missing? If I can get this fixed I plan on adding a third partition/installation for the new version of my software when it's released this year.

I've seen this before on my system. My experience suggests that this occurs when Windows' boot drive is not C: anymore. There could be an unhidden partition beofre your Windows XP partition which is causing the Windows XP to shift its boot drive letter to perhaps D: or something else.

If you're using the OS Selector, try editing the 2nd partition to "Hide" the first when it is activated. You can do this under the OS's Partition properties page.
