I have long used CCleaner to clean junk files off my computer and the registry cleaning function isn't bad either. But there is another program called Easy Cleaner that cleans the registry, junk files, and a lot more. I'd call it similar to JV16 Powertools, but free.

So I am going to help a buddy with his computer woes this weekend. Shoudl I put CCleaner on there or Easy Cleaner?

Or if you have another free program that can clean the registry and junk files, feel free to add that in too.

I use CCleaner daily, and have no issues against it, but Easy Cleaner is also another good product. I tried it, but stuck with CC.

I like the 3x overwrite capability of CC, I forget if EZ has the same.

Either choice would be a good one.

I also use the free RegSeeker 1.5 to compliment CC.
