I have just run a Windows Vista advisor on my pc and it says thumbs up for most things associated with it. Unfortunately it tells me that if I install Vista -then ND32 would have to be removed as it is incompatible. Has anyone else seen this note generated by the advisor programme Microsoft freely give away?

Do you have NOD 2.5 or NOD 2.7? The later is the Vista compatible version :)

Aha... just installed 2.7 again (I did run an install when I received an email saying I could - clearly it did not register) - now Windows advisor is ok with it (ver 2.7). Many thanks.

I have 2.70.16 and the Advisor just gave me a "no-no" on Nod 32.

    Still not Vista ready

Was running 2.70.16 and the upgrade adviser said NOD32 wasn't compatible. Did a reinstall of .23 over the top. Same result. Uninstalled NOD32. Did new install of .23. Adviser still says no good. Anyone have any idea why? My subscription is up in March and I really don't want to leave.

Did you perform an upgrade install of Vista, or a fresh install? Same with NOD32.

I did an update install of each and have had no issues whatsoever.

It's a new install of NOD. Still running XP. The Vista advisor is telling me NOD won't work.

    Hello,

NOD32 v2.70 works well with both the 32-bit and 64-bit editions of Microsoft Windows Vista.

It looks like Microsoft revised their Windows Vista Upgrade Advisor on January 29th, according to this page on their web site.

You may wish to download this release and see if that makes any difference.

    Regards,

    Aryeh Goretsky

I took everybody's advice and just went ahead. In fact, because I managed to blow up vista the first time, I have actually gone ahead twice. NOD32 worked fine the first time and works just fine now.

I once again re-learned the value of complete backups before updates. I had actually made two of them.
