I'm using True Image Enterprise Server 9.1, build # 3854.

Created a new bootable cd rom, no problems.

I than deleted the mbr on the test machine to simulate some sort of a disaster.

I put the bootable cd in that machine and start bootable agent, so far so good. Bootable agent loads and identifies the machine's IP address.

Back to my laptop, I open recovery console. I can see the damaged machine in the list, but when I try to connect to it I get the following error:

E000807D5: Computer "computer name" is not found.

I searched the entire forum for a solution, but none is provided.

This is a pretty good piece of software, but if the bootable agent doesn't work and I can't conduct remote backups/recovery on remote damaged machines than I'm likely not to buy this software.

    * Also, does anyone know if the management console can see different subnets on the same domains??

    Any help is appreciated.

Re: E000807D5: Computer "computer name" is not found error - SOLUTION!

    Made some progress today.

If anyone else gets this error, instead of using the browse button, just findout what is the ip address of the remote machine and type it in the box. Don't go by the machine name!

In this case, the IP address is 10.0.0.68 and I was successful in connecting to it.

So now I'm connected to the machine, but for some reason, the recovery does NOT see my 500 GB Seagate USB external drive that contains my *.tib files.

    Ideas anyoneo_Oo_O

So far, here are the problems I found:

    1. Console Management sees the remote machine that's running Acronis Bootable Agent. Its seeing the machine name, but can NOT connect to it by name, only by IP address. That's fine, this is easily bypassed.

    2. Console Management doesn't see my Seagate external USB drive. I tried to create an Administrator profile that says:

10.0.0.68 (remote machine) backsup to F:\Backup (which is my Seagate drive), no luck.

Does anybody care to help me or am I just talking to myself here??

This software seems great, but it's far from being bug free....
