    Hi there,
Mele did you try cookies on, put the forum in the trusted zone, that kind of settings?
Recently i visited this Wilders forum from another computer with super tight security settings, could login, but could not post here at all. Must really have been the security settings on that pc, which is not mine so i didn't want to change any settings.
Sometimes need changing firewall settings like allowing banners displaying to see all buttons, found many strange things in various forums, especially when the owners added to the original forum code.

Think C.S.J. had no intention being rude but to tell you the problem might be on your side with some settings.
Hope you get it solved soon, like the other posters did.

Yes, there was an email link to be clicked.
After that my password seemed to work and also posted that my test post.
It was in the bugs thread so I hope no one was bothered sice myself only good positive experiences. Had to be one thread to participate.
    EDIT
As Jooske told, propably needed them cookies to be allowed or javascript. It was wide open for me, disabled NoScript since I knew from past. Needs some sites to be allowed.

C.S.J., your comment could have been worded with a bit more sensitivity, as there is no possible way you could know on who's end the problem lies. The fact does remain that some people will come across registration problems on all forums. Whether it be on their end or the forum's end isn't up for debate here. There is no way we're going to know what the exact problem is, or solution for it. The best that we can do, as has been already done in this thread, is to suggest different approaches for them to try. In the end it comes down to the person having the registration problem to resolve that problem with that specific forum's Administration.

    Error
The forums are currently offline for the following reason(s):

Sehr geehrte Besucher des AntiVir Support Forums,

aufgrund eines technischen Problems mussten wir das AntiVir Support Forum kurzfristig vom Netz nehmen.
Wir hoffen den Fehler im laufe des 23.01.06 beheben zu können.

    Vielen Dank für Ihr Verständnis.

I don't read German but it looks like the forums are down until Tuesday? I still have not gotten registered there but was promised over the weekend by a mod there that today the problem should finally be fixed and I could post ...but I go there and see this message instead. :(

It looks like this was the cause of the Avira forum being down. I got this e-mail this morning...........

After having been alluded to a security relevant vulnerability in the bulletin board software by one of our members we effected an update.

That's why we ask all members to change their password! If this password should also be used for other accesses, please, realize the corresponding change.

    Yours sincerely
    The Avira Service Team

I guess I head over there and change my password.

Thank you! I didn't get that email. I'm glad they got a security problem fixed promptly.

I wonder if I should change my password...I guess I should. I still am not properly registered.

So far no issues with Antivir on two PCs that I installed it on. I rarely register on forums (such as this one) and even though I used McAfee VirusScan since the late 1990's, I never had to go to their forum for help (only until the DAT updates would no longer be processed by earlier versions of the program). Hopefully, I won't have to go to the Antivir forum for any desperate help (troubleshooting purposes or otherwise). The information provided there is very helpful, but I don't need the aggravation of software that keeps hiccupping. :D
