That's what we do, every product must pass QA tests before it's released. Otherwise all languages versions would already be available as an automatic update.

    NOD2.7 rollout

    Hi everyone,

Just wondered if we were the only people that had not had NOD2.7 pushed out from ESET yet? We are bang upto date on updates - but have not been offered NOD2.7 yet.

Is this normal? We are a UK based company.

    Thanks

They are still working on it, was the last I heard. I'd rather it go out as close to perfect as possible, than with a few flaws in it.

    Cheers :D

Slight change of subject (hope you don't mind!) - but I have a quick question.

We have about 100 clients using NOD v2.51 at the moment. When the update to 2.7 is rolled out - will I have to visit each machine to perform the upgrade - or is the upgrade silent (like the updates to defs are silent)? I'd prefer to know in advance if the 2.7 upgrade needs user interaction when the new version hits our mirror.

it should be silent... possible the user where ask to preform a component update... and maybe a restart...

That's true, Blackspear....and I agree with you. However, it does seem to be taking quite a while now....especially when I first started hearing about this "upgrade" back in early November, and we are now about to enter February!!!

We had to stop the Slovak PCU 2.70 because of a bug found in the updater. It'll be fixed and, after the installers have passed QA testing, the PCU will be released. The English PCU will follow the Slovak version shortly after.

Thank you for this info, Marcos. Is there any "ETA" date and time that English users could expect (i.e. - early/late next week, within two weeks, mid or late February, etc.)?

I'd better not give any ETA, I'll just say - some time soon.
