Hmmm, anyone know of any way to get this working on windows xp home?

I know that much of the group policies are actually registry values changed, but that would be a PITA after a while.

Great job with all the tutorials Mrk. (looking forward to the Snort one :D )

    Cheers,

I am using Windows XP Home and I have group policy available. But the truth is, it's just for show, when I try to make any changes to the settings in GPO, nothing happens at all! Because XP Home does NOT have the registry keys needed for group policy to work. :D
So I resort to using Doug Knox's security tool for windows xp home and pro.

    Hi Mrk,
Just to remind you re my problem -"Userenv" Error ID 1085 -The Group Policy client-side extension Internet Explorer Zonemapping failed to execute. Please look for any errors reported earlier by that extension.
In meantime resolved Error ID 3102 by removal of WDS 3.0.
Hope you and other expert people will help me to fix also this "Heavy duty" task in connection with GP.
    Regards,

    Hello,
I've been trying to figure out your problem.
The fact you have so many errors combined - and the fact you change your setup by installing / uninstalling software - does not really help figure out the cause. I am sorry to say I have nothing smart to tell you.
    Mrk
