I believe it is the 1.3 version. Does anyone who uses this have any tips or advice? It looks a bit intimidating although I have heard nothing but great reports about it. Currently I have this and Ashampoo's WinOptimizer Platinum 2 (which seems to work pretty well). Is the JV16 Powertools 1.3 version safe to run on Windows XP?

Not sure about that one or what you're actually looking for to determine, but allow me to suggest a nice freeware utility that really covers an entire football field of information that might be of some interest.

    FABER TOYS

Faber Toys is a system utility, mainly developed for power users who want to know what's going on in their Personal Computer. It may also be used by programmers as a tool for tracking their applications.

The goal is to create an application running on most PC configurations (see system requirements), that use an FPL (Fast Property Load) technology to speed up the recovery of information on slow computers.

All information about the program is saved in a configuration file located in the installation directory; this means that no information is saved into the Registry (I don't like programs that fill the Registry with unnecessary data for the System).

I have paid particular attention to data backup in case of modification (e.g. if you decide to delete a system alias or a program in startup directory): all information is saved in several subdirectories of installation dir, ready to be restored.

USA still the best. But barely.
If you mean RegCleaner 4.3 build 780. Yes, almost daily.

Yes, the last freeware version is 1.3.0.195 and it works with XP. Just don't delete anything in the registry that you don't understand-all green labeled items should be fine.

Another option, though even more aggressive at selecting items to delete so you need to be careful, is Regseeker from Hover: Inc.

If you want something easier just use CCleaner http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/
