Does NOD32 support XP embedded? Is it even worth putting an antivirus on an XP embedded thin client?

I think the whole point of a thin client is that it is a "virtual environment" that has write protection and thus can not be infected.

So, no I do not believe an antivirus would have any relevance in such an instance. The antivirus would be used on the server to which the thin clients attach.

    Cheers :D

Not true with XP embedded. I've seen blurbs on Google of other antiviruses that are compatible with XP embedded thin clients. I'm wondering if NOD32 is. I loaded NOD32 2.5 onto a Wyse Winterm yet AMON fails to load on bootup.

I'm thinking a call to ESet tech support is in order. Seems nobody here has ever used XP embedded or worked with it.

Sorry for the late response. According to my information it is only relevant when the XP embedded device is write enabled.
