I've downloaded AVG Anti Spyware 7.5 and can't update it . Every time I try to update it , it says "Error : Failed to contact server update.ewido.net " . I use no proxys by the way . Can nod32 or Win Fw block the program's internet acces ( I added it to windows's firewall exeptions list ) .
Does anyone have a solution to this ?
    Thanks .

I suspect that the developers are bringing up new servers and have update turned off at the moment. Peter mentioned that AVG is adding more servers because of high demand and stated their goal was to have the new servers on line at the beginning of this week. I too cannot connect to the servers as of the morning.

To all users that have problems with the update, please try to update your ewido/AVG AntiSpyware. The new update servers should be online. The update should now work.

Did you check your software firewall to make sure it is not blocking you from updating? New program...new name...new disk location...firewall needs new entry for permitting internet access for new program.

I'm new to this - my spyware won't update - keep getting "server is not ready to serve. Please try later" It gave same message a few days ago as well. I have disabled firewall, added it to exceptions list & still it wont work. Would anyone have any ideas please?

Well ive got the paid version of AVG Antispyware V 7.5.0.50 plus and ive tried to use the Auto update, and the manual up date, … but not working , my last up date was on the 31st of December ,signature database… 574.922
I can access the normal ….http://www.ewido.net/en/ …. With no problems, but for some reason I cannot access ….. http://update.ewido.net/ .I went onto the ewido web site and posted a report with the support and the reply was ….It looks like you have not yet entered your personal license code in the software. So I re put my License code back into the programme.. And it accepted it OK, but still no up dates..?

Ive been running the programme for several months now with out an up date problem
Can any one please advise me what to do next…?

    Thanks ………. Mypenry

Not to pile on, but just installed the program today and no update. Error message is "XML parser error." Have notified tech support (not AVG as it's the trial version and only the paid version gets AVG tech support!)
