    I use ZSoft Uninstaller :

    "Search
Delete entry's from programs that is no longer installed
Automatically find entry's from programs that are most likely already uninstalled
Hide entries from the list that you are never going to uninstall (Windows updates etc.) making the list smaller and therefore easier to manage.
Automatically find entry's that are considered "crap-ware"
Export the current list to a TXT file
Show more information than available though add/remove
    Find and delete temporary files
Analyze an installation so it can be completely uninstalled "

    Freebie

I think Your Uninstaller is better than Total Uninstall

I'm not sure I'd trust anything that uses 'ur'.

Hi, folks: You may be right. I have used both. And both are good apps. My impression w/ TU is that its inst/unist procedures would often cause confussion. If you installed prog A,B,C and D in sequence. And then decide to remove program B; you have to go thru a series of somewhat complex procedure to get it done. While w/ YU, you simply click the prog you wish to remove, and minutes later it is completely done. I am currently using YU, and it is worth every penny you spend. :thumb:

I personally use Your-Un-installer and its the best uninstaller i havetried..removes all registry entires,left-overs from program folders, icons etc etc..
Other uninstallers are very complex and i couldn't see them do anything except normal un-installing..

I have been using TU and you are right about it causing confusion. I don't really like the program for that reason.

YU doesn't leave anything behind at all? If that's the case I have to try this out. I didn't think there was such software that existed.

Have you tried the Startup Faster? Sounds interesting if it really works.

Thanks for all the good info everyone!

TU is good...but I think even if you just use the add/remove uninstaller of windows it also does its job for what it is....:D of removing programs. Just make sure to re-start your pc after removing program, then use a very good registry cleaner like Registry Mechanic and it will find those "left items" not seen or removed by windows add/remove remover. ;)

I have been using UrUninstaller for several years and have had good results with it. I especially like their 2006 version. Worth checking it out!

What exactly is difficult about running the Total Uninstall scanner before and after the install, you can't even do anything wrong if you just follow the windows? o_O It's the only way you can make an effient uninstall program.

Your Uninstaller is simply not as efficient if you make comparison installs/uninstalls with the two programs. You may like it better because it's easy to use, but it is a pretty version of add/remove programs in windows.......and an expensive one too. :)

Hi, folks: Difficult w/ TU? You have to try it and feel it and then you will say to me"Oh, that is why!" Similiar to running KAV, you do not know it will slow your system down until you actually have tasted(not just test). As to YU, it does much more than window's add/remove feature. What I am saying is that nothing wrong w/ window's, but if you want a bit extra, extra flavors, YU is a go. Have a nice day.:-*

"Windows Add/Remove + TU or YU + a registry cleaner" is a good combination to remove softwares completely.

The very best solution would be that each software company would be able to write an uninstaller to remove their OWN software completely.
Such companies make themselves ridiculous to the rest of the world : they can't even remove their own software :D or do I have to cry :'( or be ashamed in their place.

Hi, folks: You said you HAVE both. I would assume you do not use BOTH at same time to install or uninstall a single app OR use one for inst and enlist the other one for unistall, do you? And then how do you pick the right one of the two? Do'nt you feel one is better than the other one in terms of whatever your preference is. I do not question your wisdom of doing so. But for the sake of this thread, tell us how do you proceed. Have a nice weekend.

Hi, folks: Hi, don. Joke? Yes and no. I was trying to spice up the dull friday workday and tell you my side of story about some painfull experience towards some apps. Some will make your day spinning out control, make you miserable after taste(again, not just test) it. I wish all app writers have this sort of mercy-making users' days more enjoyable. Have a nice one!
