This morning Grisoft's AVG 7.5 Professional antivirus software detected the SpywareBlaster setup file as being infected with Adware Generic.SHK and removed it from my downloaded program directory to the virus vault. Also detected and moved to the virus safe were the accompanying files:
    Adware Generic.SHK from *\Temp\is-8771BTemp.\SSSetup.exe
Adware Generic.SHK from the Mozilla Firefox directory:
    *\nl1d25zg.default\cache\47F52FA0d01
all files were 12.5 mb and shared the same date stamp.

The current version of SpywareBlaster running is 3.5.1, question is, when Spywareblaster updated was the downloaded file contaminated?

APG pro also appears to be detecting the beta testing setup program (sbsdtools15beta.exe) for Spybot as malware.

More in the thread referenced above (Announcing betas: TeaTimer / Scan engine / Vista integration):

Actually diverdan provided the screenshot requested in response to the above. Then PepiMK wrote:

I hope that in fixing the the problem with sbsdtools15beta.exe that the problem with spywareblastersetup351.exe has also been corrected.

If not, I suggest that you contact AVG to report the problem.

So I am going to assume that AVG 7.5 Professional was giving a false positive and pull SpywareBlastersetup351.exe out of quarantine. AVG has updated several times since, so I'll see if it happens again.
