nod32.000?

    Hallo
    wonder about the nod32.000 file in eset folder...should it just say nod32 now and now it is preset too open with notepad(before it was unknown program)? shouldnt it be nod32.000 like .002 too .006 like i had before...anyone understand what i mean=)?

    Yeah, I think I get you. It sounds like the .000 extension has somehow gotten associated so that it opens with Notepad. This could have have been something you did (or one of your kids :p), or maybe by some other program that got installed.

    The reason the .000 disappears from your display is probably because of a Windows setting. Go to Control Panel --> Folder Options --> View --> uncheck "Hide file extensions for known file types". The .000 should now reappear.

    If you want to get rid of the .000 association with Notepad, you may look in Control Panel --> Folder Options --> File Types. Look for "000" in that list. If you find it, go ahead and highlight it, then hit the Delete key.

    If you do not find "000" in that list, go to the Windows registry. On the left, look for HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT. Hit the "+" sign, then look for ".000" beneath it. Highlight the ".000", then hit the Delete key. You may have to log out of Windows and then log back in to see your change take effect.
