    Dear Dr. Web users

I am trying to figure out how to let Dr. Web scan a file from the console.
What command-line parameters do I have to set? I have already posted in the Dr. Web forum but haven't got any response yet.

    Thanks.

    Frank

I could be wrong but... I don't think the command line parameters are necessary, in fact, they don't appear to be doing anything, according to your screenshot. When the scanner is called it will run and scan per the settings in drweb32.ini file (which are set through the gui.) If you want it to scan using different settings than the .ini file then you will have to make other adjustments. You might be able to precede the /NI switch along with your other switches or another possibility is to use the switch /INI:<file> to achieve what you are trying to do. But, really, I think the best and easiest thing to do is to just call for the scan and let it scan per the settings in the .ini file -- as it is doing now if I'm reading your screenshot correctly.
I recall playing with this many moons ago -- with limited success I might add -- and that is the conclusion that I came to anyways.

    Hello shorty1

Thanks for your input. The second screenshot shows the actual parameters used to call Dr.Web. If I don't set them the av scanner resorts to ini settings so that dr.web performs additional tasks such as scanning the boot sectors, startup entries etc, which is not desirable here.

The actual parameters can be retrieved by looking at the command-line column of SSM by the way.

    Regards

    Frank
