Error loading operating system

hi guys here is the scenario

Samsung 80 SATA to Samsung 120 Sata...

Using manual settings with the program, all seems to go well with the cloning but when i connect the new clone drive i get the ERROR LOADING operatin sytem...

WIth a PATA Drive i usually use FDISK and make the partition active, but with SATA¿

Help... i see the data is in the new clone disk but cant boot from it..

You can use the Windows CD and boot to it. Select any raid drivers to install using F6 and then go to the recovery console.

Once at the console run the command: bootcfg /list

It should list your Window Installation.

Then you can run: bootcfg /add

Select: 1 for the Windows Install.

Then you can name the Windows Install like... Windows XP w/SP2 < as an example.

Then you can pass any parameters, like /fastdetect

Finish it and then reboot... you should see 2 operating systems to boot from and just select the operating system name you gave above... ex: 'Windows XP w/SP2

From my experience this has seemed to fix the problem on 'like' systems.
