Looks like that computer only has Norton anti virus to protect it. Looks like no real time or prevention to protect that thing. That thing is going down like a moth to a bug zapper.

Well maybe not if he's a careful surfer. Don't overblow the threat, he should still be fine...well maybe...if you teach him safe surfing. You don't really need 3 Antispywares anyway.

He uninstalled SpyBlaster? That's a great little app. Besides that, anti-spyware apps are configured in different ways,so one may miss something where another may catch it. With that in mind, you should always have at least 2 on your pc. I have 4 with one running. SpyBlaster included.;)

Yeah you should be fine with norton, its had pretty good protection against most things. As long as you surf with some control you will be ok.

I think I know your dad lol. My friend had the exact same thing.... I went to his house... downloaded Ewido 4.0 (b4 avg anti-spyware came out)... found 2 trojans, 5 adwares and lots of cookies... He shutup and I told him to buy Kaspersky lol.

Cheater 87, I see you are using AVG anti-Spyware (alias ewido 4). When ever I do a scan, my system is a little unstable for a short time after the scan, as in apps loading slow. Have you had that experience? It's not a big deal, just ennoying.

I have the paid one. It works well except for the period before the next boot. My computer shuts down in about 15 seconds except after a scan, where it takes about 30. When I re-boot it's OK again. Go figure.:)
