Hi Aryeh, I am using 2.7 beta now and wondering if I skip RC1 will I be able to update automatically within NOD32 2.7 when it becomes final? Or will I still need to download a new installer for the final version, uninstall 2.7 beta and install again?

    Thanks.

    Hello,

You do not need to download the release candidate if you do not wish to, however, it is strongly recommended you uninstall the beta test version before upgrading to the production version when it is released.

Please bear in mind, though, that we are no longer soliciting feedback on the beta test version (e.g., if you encounter a problem your first line of troubleshooting will be to uninstall the beta version and install the release candidate). Also, we may not provide support for upgrading from beta test versions to production versions, so you would want to uninstall the beta version prior to loading production code onto your computer.

    Regards,

    Aryeh Goretsky

yes, those who have time, please do test this RC1. I will only get this after it is released as final version.

One thing I hope developer will take into consideration is to make the upgrade as painless as possible. Maybe upgrade through nod32 update system. Thus all the configs will retain.

My previous experience with upgrade from 2.50.x to 2.51.x gave me some headache as I had to reconfigure my servers and clients.

When the final version is released do i have to wait for it to come down the pipes to update (never done that) or if i install over the top do i have to shut down NOD before running the new installer, sorry if this sounds obvious but i like to get things right the first time o_O

    Hello,

NOD32 v2.7 will be offered to customers as an update they can download from within the program.

This will not occur when v2.7 becomes available, but shortly thereafter. The exact timeframe has not been set but would probably be a matter of a few days or weeks after the program is released.

    Hello,

The production version of NOD32 Version 2.7 has been released. For more information, please see this thread.

This release is designed to be installed over earlier versions.

As this thread discusses the release candidate, I am now going to close it. If you have questions about the new version, please start a new message thread.

    Regards,

    Aryeh Goretsky
